Abstract
Thorax excursion during breathing leads to artefacts in reconstructed images in Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT). We used a camera based motion tracking system to measure the thorax excursion of a human subject during a breathing manoeuvre. Simulations indicate that relative boundary voltage change can be regarded as being independent from the internal conductivity. We showed that image quality increases if modified boundary voltages are used for image reconstruction.
