Abstract
It was found that under illumination effective separation of photoinduced charge carriers across Fe2O3/Cu2O interface occurs. It has been demonstrated that the experimental results are consistent with the so-called Z-scheme mechanism of charge transfer, when photoelectrons from the conduction band of Fe2O3 transfer through the heterojunction to recombine with photoholes in the valence band of Cu2O.
