Abstract
AbstractA method is presented to abstract the information required by the production shop floor control computer system to coordinate material flow and part processing. An analysis is given covering aspects identified as relevant for process modeling and automation, such as granularity degree, life cycle, BOM/route/process integration and object oriented model reference. Particularities of production system are presented in a graph model and interpretable by computer applications. Use of model based control is among the concepts used to increase the system software reusability. The proposed solution simplifies the production system (enterprise) modeling process and improves system software reusability among other characteristics.
