Abstract
AbstractSome manufacturing enterprises are typically organized in clusters; a Virtual Breeding Environment (VBE) is aimed to group diverse institutions and their support organizations sharing a business interest, so they could later operate as a Virtual Organization (VO). A VBE is proposed as a strategy to integrate manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). This paper gives an overview of VOs and international aerospace clusters. The proposed VBE model is explained through a case study done in the Mexican Aerospace Industry which provides a high level VBE model for the Aerospace Sector to capture the roles of the stake holders and to create VOs for integrated aircraft assembly process.
