Abstract
This study deals with the problem of controlling DC-to-DC switched power converter of boost type associated with a fuel cell generator. The system is modelled using the PWM technique. The aim is to tightly regulate the output voltage of the converter to a desired reference. The voltage-current characteristic is subject to parameter uncertainty. The system load is in turn time-varying. A nonlinear adaptive controller is designed using the Lyapunov approach, based on the nonlinear model of the system. The controller is formally shown to meet its control objectives.
