Abstract
In this paper, a line balancing problem in the machining environment is considered. The all involved particularities of the problem description and modeling are highlighted, for example, parameterized operation times, non-strict precedence constraints, and parallel operations performing. A number of efficient reduction methods are derived in order to decrease the problem size and reduce the number of variables and constraints.
