Abstract
This research studies decentralized conflict and error (CE) prognostics and diagnostics in a supply network. Intelligent manufacturing systems increasingly are distributed along supply networks in which CEs are unavoidable and must be intelligently detected, diagnosed, and predicted with the support of collaborative e-Work. Prognostics is the process to predict CEs whereas diagnostics is the process to identify causes of CEs. Both are performed through the analysis of CE propagation. A middleware-supported prognostics and diagnostics model has been developed. Experiment results show that decentralized prognostics and diagnostics are preferred.
