Abstract
Testing of details and units of vehicles are required for a reliable assessment of their service life and reliability in operation. Some of these units are the spherical joints for cars suspension which undergoing complex loading during its lifetime. This paper describes the design of the stand for testing spherical joints on wear at the various loads on the nature of action. The actual operating conditions of the joints are simulated by independent rotations of the ball head relatively to three orthogonal rotational axes. Adaptive control system of the stand provides the laws of loading and rotational movements needed to the tests.
