Abstract

The paper presents a method of multi-priority control of trams, cars and pedestrians on an intersection. The heavy tram traffic has imposed hierarchy of priority and traffic responsive control by on-line signal phase's composition in response to traffic detection. The simulation study has carried out by FLEXSYT for very heavy load by trams intersection in Poznań confirm effectiveness and robustness of the method.
