Abstract
The increase of vehicle traffic in agglomerated urban areas often leads to congestions that decrease significantly the system performances. The intersection signal traffic controllers cannot improve themselves the system throughput when the congestions appear. Therefore a coordination of distributed control components is necessary. The proposed distributed algorithm is based on multiagent system that uses dynamic prices for the vehicle streams to find the cycle splits that avoid the traffic congestions.
