Abstract
The schedule coordination of public transports interconnected into a multimodal hub (MH) is an important issue for transportation companies. The purpose is to optimize the transfer time of travellers performing a connection between two public transportation modes (intermodality practice). Several papers have studied the schedule coordination between public transports with similar timetables (same period range). However, into a MH, various transportation modes with heterogeneous characteristics coexist and have to be connected. This paper presents a methodology for synchronizing a connection chain between two public transports with various period ranges.
