Abstract

The sensors are not equally sensitive in all regions of the visible and invisible spectrum, so they can replace each other in turn. In this paper an overview on distinct classes of sensors is given including some practical recommendations mainly for Cost Oriented mobile Robots (COR).This paper provides opportunity to utilize in robotics some fundamentals of sensors and sensing techniques that are using in the various fields of engineering and science. At first, basic characteristics of some existing sensors are described briefly. Secondly, basic concepts are proposed for parallel systems can be built-in mobile and humanoid robots
