Abstract
Formation flying of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) is considered. Heading and speed guidance commands are proposed based on virtual path and vector field concepts. The proposed guidance methodology is based on range and angle information. Comparison studies present formation generation from arbitrary initial conditions as compared to partial convergence for an existing methodology from the literature.
