Abstract
In order to achieve the recording of cellular multiple physiological parameters, a multifunctional biosensor system is developed with light-addressable potentiometric sensor (LAPS) unit, electrical cell-substrate impedance sensor (ECIS) unit and their instrument. Sensor basic performance and cell experiments were carried out to test the functions of multifunctional biosensor system. The results showed that LAPS and ECIS multifunction system can simultaneously detect extracellular acidification and cellular growth with basic performance. Based on the real-time, label-free, and non-invasive sensor technologies, the multifunctional biosensor system may provide a utility platform in the field of cellular physiology study and drug analysis in vitro.
