Abstract
In this paper, we study a certain kind of impulsive reaction-diffusion equation models. With the methods of Lewis and Li (2012) and others, we provide an explicit formula for the spreading speed in terms of model parameters, and show that the spreading speed can be characterized as the slowest speed of a class of traveling wave solutions. Some applications are presented to show that our results essentially include and generalize some existing ones.
