Abstract
⺠Mesh deformation based on radial basis functions is applied to flapping wings. ⺠RBF Mesh deformation results in high mesh quality at large amplitude motion. ⺠Thin plate spline RBF is applied to mesh deformation around a 3D flapping wing. ⺠The efficiency of the RBF mesh deformation is improved by coarsening and smoothing. ⺠RBF mesh deformation results in high mesh quality for 3D flapping wings.
