Abstract

The paper provides the solution of the advanced statistical analysis problem for sampled-data systems, which is relevant for digitally controlled marine vehicles under water as well as on the surface. The difficult cases when the system has pure delay and a generalized digital to analog converter (DAC) of higher order are considered. The obtained solution is based on applying the parametric transfer function (PTF) concept, jointly with calculation of guaranteed estimation of the current performance. On the way to solution, we find general expressions for the PTF of sampled-data systems with pure delay and higher order hold. The intersample behavior of the current performance of the output signal is compared between sampled-data systems possessing traditional zero-order hold, and sampled data systems with extrapolator and interpolator of first order.
