Abstract
Renewable energy methods such as wind generation and photovoltaic generation are attracting more attention in distributed systems due to the depletion of energy resources. The drawback of renewable energy is its unpredictable and variable nature, making it necessary to compensate for this behavior and maximize the user's dependence on such systems. This can be accomplished using an intelligent energy management demand response controller (IEMDC), which is implemented using an optimal fuzzy logic controller (OFLC) whose parameters are set by the mean-variance optimization (MVO) algorithm. The performance of the PVB system with an IEMDC for daytime grid-independent operation is presented in this paper.
