Abstract
The influence of the PTO speed on the required power of the rotary tiller was investigated. The test result clarified the relationship between the required power and traveling speed and PTO speed. The results of these field tests showed that the rotary tiller drive shaft torque was most minimal, when its rotational speed was 500 to 520 rpm in the case of these test conditions. In addition, they showed that the required power of the rotary tiller was inversely proportional to the tillage pitch at same traveling speed.
