Abstract
- The CR sheets have been analyzed with the sliver defects.
- In sample #1 the slag entrapment of the mold fluxes is the main origin of the defects.
- In sample #2 alumina formed is deposited in tundish nozzle entrapped during solidification.
- These entrapped translate into long streaks of defects called slivers during CR.
