Abstract
- A short-fiber reinforced dental composite is evaluated.
- Resistance curves were constructed for 3- or 4-point bending and different crack sizes.
- Two different fiber orientations were evaluated, each showing varying toughening mechanisms.
- Fiber bridging is demonstrated for the fiber orientation perpendicular to the crack growth plane.
