Abstract
- Dynamic behaviour of an ultra high performance fibre reinforced concrete is investigated.
- The incubation time criterion for dynamic fracture in compression, tension and bending is used.
- The dynamic compressive strength is almost twice the quasi-static value at a strain rate of â¼2500Â sâ1.
- The dynamic split tensile strength is also almost twice the quasi-static value at a stress rate of â¼3000Â GPa/s.
- The dynamic fracture energy increases nearly by an order of magnitude when the rate of deflection is â¼102Â mm/s.
