Abstract
The paper focuses on the software reliability modeling based on testing process. The examined risk system is automotive safety electronics and the initial number of software (SW) defects is evaluated based on the software defects probability distribution. Following the SW defects probability distribution, it is calculated the remaining SW defects in the program. Therefore, the SW management can use this model in order to optimize the project testing time to reduce the number of remaining SW defects.
