Abstract

The main objective of this study concerns the development and simulation-based evaluation of the impact of the new isolated freeway ramp metering based on the jointly use of differential flatness and high order sliding mode control. The considered test site is a part of the A6 french freeway network composed of three on-ramps. Several traffic and environmental indices are used for the evaluation process.
