Abstract
⺠A method for fatigue testing of threaded joints is presented. ⺠The crack initiation period can be separated from the crack growth one. ⺠The crack length can be determined from the loss of stiffness of the system. ⺠The dimensionless stress intensity factor of the bolt-nut connection can be estimated.
