Abstract
⺠Sandwich beams fail in different modes under constant amplitude fatigue loading. ⺠The beams fail by core shear fracture at high loads. ⺠The beams fail by face sheet fracture at low loads. ⺠Beams designed to fail by core shear fracture for static loads may thus fail by face sheet fracture in fatigue.
