Abstract
⺠Press distribution in draw-bend test is analyzed to obtain a pressure and direction dependent friction law. ⺠The proposed anisotropic friction law is implemented into a commercial finite element code. ⺠Cup drawing experiments are conducted for assessing the proposed friction law. ⺠Cup drawing simulations using the friction law reveal differences in flange draw-in in two directions. ⺠Simulations and experimental data reveal good agreement and the friction law has other applications.
