Abstract
In this paper, we derive sufficient and necessary conditions for existence of hard limits in interconnected networks of autocatalytic pathways. The existing hard limits are characterized as a lower bound on a performance measure (L2-norm of an output signal). We show that underlying digraph of the network plays an important role in emergence of such hard limits.
