Abstract
114The dynamic compressive behaviour of sandwich panel with shear thickening fluid (STF) filled pyramidal lattice truss core at high strain rates is studied. After filled with STF, the dynamic energy absorption capacity of the sandwich panels increases significantly and shows “1â¯+â¯1â¯>>â¯2” phenomenon through the transformation of deformation modes of core beams from non-symmetry to symmetry and the shear thickening behaviour of the filled STF material.
