Abstract
⺠A numerical approach to study cavitation in elastic solids in 3D is developed. ⺠Onset-of-cavitation surfaces are computed for several classes of isotropic materials. ⺠The quantitative effects of load triaxiality and material behavior on cavitation are discussed.
