Abstract
⺠Stability and control of coupled flexural and torsional rotor vibration-response is studied. ⺠Coupling caused by mass-unbalance and gyroscopic effect generates nonlinear equations of motion. ⺠MMS is used to analyze bisynchronous, combination natural frequencies and response. ⺠Single electromagnetic actuator effectively controls both transverse and torsional vibrations. ⺠Steady axial torque diminishes the influence of coupling.
