Abstract
⺠Slip flow due to a stretching cylinder is studied analytically and numerically. ⺠Similarity transform is applied to the Navier-Stokes equations. ⺠Asymptotic solutions are derived for large Reynolds number and small slip. ⺠Slip can greatly reduce the velocities and the shear stress.
