Abstract
A fully coupled flow deformation model for saturated fractured porous media subject to elasto-plastic damage is presented. The governing differential equations satisfying the conservation of mass and momentum and the compatibility and consistency conditions are derived for both damaged and intact states. Pore and fissure water pressures and solid matrix displacement vector are introduced as the primary variables. Particular attention is given to coupling of flow and deformation fields in both elastic and elasto-plastic regions. The application and validity of the model are demonstrated through simulating several cases from the literature. All parameters are identified in terms of measurable physical entities.
