Abstract
This study addresses the problem of adaptation of the guidance and control law of a vehicle encountering wind perturbations. Detection of occurrence of wind is operated by estimating the vehicle state vector using a wind-free model under the assumptions of bounded error inputs and measurements. Whenever wind is detected, the guidance and control law driving the vehicle toward a predefined objective is modified so as to recover the wind-free dynamics. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the obtained results.
