Abstract
Most previous works on Hammerstein system identification focused on the case where the nonlinear element is memoryless. Those which dealt with memory nonlinearities mainly focused on backlash or relay elements. In the present paper, we are considering the case of switched hysteretic nonlinearities. An identification method is developed that yields consistent estimates of the linear subsystem parameters as well as m points on both nonlinearity borders. The latter are allowed to be discontinuous, noninvertible and of unknown structure.
