Abstract
The problem of parameter estimation in chaotic systems is important to deal with current engineering problems. Obtaining and understanding precise information about chaotic system dynamics can be potentially exploited. The parameter estimation should be focussed as a problem with multimodal non-continuous functions, where some methods get stuck in local minimum. This problem can be dealt with optimization computational methods. In this work, estimation of parameters and initial conditions for P-class chaotic systems is achieved using evolutionary computation.
