Abstract
In this paper a new software tool for semidefinite programming problems description on freely distributed SCILAB platform is proposed. This tool called SCIYALMIP has been created to have as close to existing YALMIP interface for MATLAB as possible. The paper shows how to use SCIYALMIP for solving linear matrix inequalities (LMI) and equations (LME) and several LMI/LME optimization problems in research and education.
