Abstract

We study verious issues related to robust real world underwater mission planning, to obtain a global view of the involved challenges. We explore various maneuvers that are required for underwater missions, and the issues involved in real world cooperative mission planning with several vehicles in the presence of sporadic communication disruptions, and faults. We also briefly discuss the various ways of automatically generating mission plans.
