Abstract
Next-generation of High Speed Machining (HSM) systems demand features such as intelligent monitoring and decision control under uncertainty. A system based on Markov Decision Process (MDP) is presented. The decision control module of this system guides the actions of the operator in peripheral milling processes. Early results are promising.
