Abstract
With increasing of industrial demand, concerning flexibility of automated manufacturing systems control, and also with needs of remote control of those systems, the know-how about industrial communication networks is crucial. In this paper it is presented a representative physical platform of industrial communication networks to test and verify the performance of different configurations. Some possible solutions are presented and tested under in the context of the WALC – Web-Assisted Laboratory for Control Engineering,research project.
