Abstract

Despite the well-defined scientific boundaries of Modeling, Control, Production and Logistics complex domain of research, the present paper aims to extend by a cross-domain subject to be solved within “Environment to Health” extended “enterprise” the semantic deep meaning of enterprise is concerned with the new idea for e-business oriented collaborative network. A Romanian Education & Research Ministry project has been launched since the 2nd of October 2007. The preliminary results to design, develop and implement a complex adaptive metasystem within the Environment-Health paradigm are discussed synthetically. This paper presents a clinical diagnosis support system which combines the advantages of Dempster-Shafer theory with Bayesian networks in order to simulate the uncertain medical reasoning. We propose a hierarchical structure using Dempster-Shafer at the upper level for evaluating more general hypothesis (disease groups) and Bayesian networks at the lower level for a more accurate analysis of specific diseases.
