Abstract

This paper proposes a systematic approach way to II order RC oscillators generation, with current mode operation (CMO-RC). The generation is made with active blocks of current amplifier with one input and two opposite outputs (SIDO) type and with standard current amplifiers (one input and one output). The solution with current amplifier with one input and two opposite outputs (SIDO) is the original element of proposed generation way. This type of current amplifiers could be obtained very easy and the bipolar complementary process appearance makes possible also practical construction of this type of performing amplifiers. The generation is making beginning with a classification of feedback amplifiers, consisting in a frequency linear selective network and an ideal current amplifier. The classification uses the transfer function of the open loop obtained by interrupting it at the input or the output of the amplifier. For a given oscillator the transfer function is unique if the amplifier and selective network are correctly identified. The Oscillator was designed in practice by cascading two phase shifters, each made by a current divisor and a grounded capacitance.
