Abstract
- The seasonal gas storage cavern convergence was determined for a salt formation.
- The thermodynamic effects from the injection and withdrawal cycles were accounted for.
- The calculations used two programs: FDM Kaga and FEM Geosolk.
- A delayed temperature change was observed in the rock salt.
- The thermodynamic effects moderate the convergence rate during cavern operation.
