Abstract
- β-TCP and β-TCP/x%-BG scaffolds were prepared by gel-cast foaming technique.
- β-TCP/x%-BG scaffolds showed compressive strength values twice higher than β-TCP.
- Sodium and silicon species lixiviated from bioglass catalyzes the phase transition from β-TCP to Si-TCP.
- Na+ coming from bioglass changes β-TCP surface granules, enhancing their sintering.
