Abstract
- Bi-axial rolling is found effective for grain refinement of Mg-3Â wt% Zn alloy.
- The yield and tensile strength increases by 65.32% and 77.34%, respectively.
- Toughness improves by 264% due to simultaneous increase in ductility and strength.
- Corrosion rate decreases significantly after initial period due to apatite formation.
- Viability of osteosarcoma cells are found decreasing with deformation of the alloy.
