Abstract
Using a Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system based on the studied algorithm, displacements can be achieved across complex paths at constant velocity and with high precision without intermediate stops. This allows the use of laser as a tool for marking or machining. In addition, the algorithm reduces the number of needed points for path programming. The most frequent complex curves in CAD formats are simplified to straight lines and circular arcs. To have full constant velocity auxiliary paths of acceleration and deceleration are used.
