Abstract
⺠A new design of the aspiration device enables inherently safe and easy measurement of the stiffness of cervical tissue. ⺠The new procedure was applied >600 times on 50 women during gestation. ⺠Representative model equations were determined for non-pregnant, 1st trimester, 2nd trimester, and 3rd trimester cervical tissue.
