Abstract
⺠We study the role of spectral markers for lumbar spine models. ⺠We show how significant load changes may not be detected by these markers. ⺠We show that specific stiffness configurations may give rise to highly sensitive systems. ⺠Keeping stability of a position under these conditions may require very high stiffnesses. ⺠Trying to keep stability at all costs may be an actual cause for damage.
