Abstract
⺠Glass and glass-ceramics based on 3CaO.P2O5-SiO2-MgO-system are viable materials for clinical applications. ⺠Different heat-treatment are adopted for partial crystallization. ⺠The partial crystallization and phase transformations of the parent glass result in improved mechanical properties. ⺠For higher temperatures porosity increases notably, resulting in decreasing mechanical properties. ⺠No significant influence of the partial crystallization on cytotoxicity was observed.
