Abstract
⺠The performances of a range of metals are compared on a common stent platform. ⺠A higher risk of fracture is predicted in Mg stents relative to permanent and Fe stents. ⺠Similar scaffolding for absorbable metallic stents and permanent stents is possible through stent design. ⺠Improvements in Mg alloy ductility are important for Mg stents. ⺠Improvements in Fe alloy strength are important for Fe stents.
